Vehicle Speed Sensor: Testing and Inspection
A scan tool display of mph / km/h should closely match with the speedometer display. A failure in the
Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) input circuit should set a Diagnostic Trouble Code
(DTC) 24 or DTC 16. Refer to
