Refrigerant Pressure Sensor / Switch: Service and Repair

A/C Refrigerant Pressure Sensor Connector:

A/c Refrigerant Pressure Sensor:

Remove or Disconnect

1. Electrical connector at sensor.
2. Sensor and seal.
^ Sensor is mounted on a Schrader type valve so it is not necessary to discharge the refrigeration system.
^ Discard seal.

Install or Connect

1. New seal to sensor fitting.
^ Coat seal with mineral base 525 viscosity refrigerant oil.
2. Sensor.

Tighten
^ Sensor to 6 N.m (53 lb. in.).

3. Electrical connector to sensor.
