Headlamp Control Module: Service and Repair
REMOVAL PROCEDUREHeadlamp Control Module Replacement: Removal Procedure:
1. Remove the headlamp circuit breaker from the instrument panel (I/P) electrical center.
2. Open the hood.
Headlamp Control Module Replacement: Removal Procedure:
3. Raise the RH headlamp manually.
4. Turn the headlamp motor/actuator manual control knob counterclockwise to raise the headlamp.
5. Disconnect the RH headlamp wiring harness electrical connector from the forward lamp wiring harness.
Headlamp Control Module Replacement: Removal Procedure:
6. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information. Diagnostic Aids
7. Remove the front fascia lower closeout panel.
8. Release the brake caliper cooling duct from the front fascia and reposition the duct.

9. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the headlamp control module.

10. Remove the nuts mounting the module to the headlamp bracket.
11. Remove the module from the vehicle.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
Headlamp Control Module Replacement: Installation Procedure:
1. Install the headlamp control module into position on the headlamp bracket.
2. Install the nuts mounting the module to the headlamp bracket.

3. Connect the electrical connectors to the module.

4. Position the brake caliper cooling duct to the front fascia and push to secure.
5. Install the front fascia lower closeout panel.
Headlamp Control Module Replacement: Installation Procedure:
7. Connect the RH headlamp wiring harness electrical connector to the forward lamp wiring harness.
8. Lower the RH headlamp manually. Turn the headlamp motor/actuator manual control knob clockwise to lower the headlamp.
9. Install the headlamp circuit breaker into the I/P electrical center.
10. Close the hood.
