EGR Valve: Service and Repair

Description:

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the EGR electrical connector.

2. Remove the EGR valve flange nuts (1).

3. Remove the EGR valve (2) and the gasket (3).

Installation Procedure

1. With a new gasket (3), install the EGR valve (2).

2. Install the EGR valve and the flange attaching nuts (1).

^ Tighten the EGR valve flange attaching nuts to 26 N.m (19 lb. ft)

3. Install the electrical connectors.
