Clearing Trouble Codes - Variable Effort Steering (VES)

PROCEDURE
Use the scan tool to erase the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) in the memory.

Verify the proper system operation and the absence of the DTCs when the clearing procedure is completed.

NOTE:
The Electronic Variable Orifice (EVO)/Passlock module will not permit DTC clearing until all the DTCs have been displayed. Also, the DTCs do not clear by unplugging the EVO/Passlock module, disconnecting the battery cables, or turning the ignition to the OFF position.
