Ignition Control Module Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disconnect the 14-way connector at ignition control module.
2. Disconnect the spark plug wires from the ignition coils.
3. Remove the 6 screws securing coil assemblies to ignition control module.
4. Disconnect the ignition coils from ignition control module.
5. Remove the ignition control module.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Position the ignition control module onto the bracket.
2. Position the ignition coils onto the ignition control module.
3. Hand start 6 screws through the ignition coils and module to the bracket.

Tighten
Tighten screws to 4-5 N.m (40 lb in).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

4. Connect the spark plug wires to the ignition coils.
5. Connect the 14-way connector to the ignition control module.
