Remote Keyless Entry System Operation

The transmitter has 3 buttons that provide touch control of the following vehicle functions:
^ The Door LOCK Button (5)
All of the doors will automatically lock when pressing the LOCK button on the transmitter once. The horn chirp will sound when pressing the button a second time within 5 seconds. The horn chirp indicates that the doors are locked.
^ The Door UNLOCK Button (2) All of the remaining doors will unlock automatically when pressing the button a second time within 5 seconds.
The following situations will occur when pressing the UNLOCK button on the transmitter once.
- The driver's door will unlock automatically.
- The interior lights will illuminate.
^ The REAR COMPARTMENT LID RELEASE Button
The following situations will occur when pressing the REAR COMPARTMENT LID RELEASE button on the transmitter under the following conditions:
- The rear compartment lid will unlock.
- The interior lights will illuminate.
- The trunk release lockout is disengaged.
- The transaxle gear selector is in the PARK or the NEUTRAL positions.

IMPORTANT: Do not unintentionally operate the transmitter when within range of the vehicle. Unintentional use may cause the following actions:
^ The doors may lock.
^ The door(s) may unlock.
^ The rear compartment lid may unlock.
