Blower Motor Switch: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the accessory trim plate.
3. Remove control assembly screws. Pull the control assembly (1) away from the instrument panel.
4. Disconnect the electrical connections.
5. Remove the blower switch retaining screws.
6. Remove the blower switch.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the blower switch.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the blower switch retaining screws.

Tighten
Tighten the screws fully driven and seated.

3. Connect the electrical connection.
4. Install the control assembly (1).
5. Install the retaining screws.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

6. Install the accessory trim plate.
7. Connect the negative battery cable.

Tighten
Tighten the negative battery cable bolt to 16 N.m (12 lb ft)
