Detent Spring Clean and Inspect
Inspect the detent springs for damage or wear. Replace the springs if damage or wear exists. Measure the spring length.

Replace the reverse detent spring if the overall length is less than
65.6 mm (2.583 inch).

Replace the detent springs (excluding reverse) if the overall length is less than
26.2 mm (1.031 inch).
