PASS-Key - Key Replacement - Spare Key Available

Use the J 35628-A Interrogator or equivalent to determine the proper electrical code of the key.

IMPORTANT: The J 35628 Interrogator (old style) requires the use of the J 35628 - 95 Adapter to correctly read PASS-Key codes on double side cut keys.

1. Insert the customer's spare ignition key into the key code reader on the J 35628-A Interrogator.
2. Press the On-Off rocker switch to the ON position.
3. A number from 1 to 15 appears in the window. This number indicates the electrical code of the key. If the interrogator displays E, replace the ignition key.
4. Cut a new key having the electrical code determined in step 3.
5. Use the new key to start the engine. Ensure the following conditions:
^ Ensure the key is mechanically correct.
^ Ensure the key is electrically correct.
