Engine Oil: Service and Repair

Removal Procedure
1. Raise the vehicle and support with safety stands. Refer to Vehicle Lift Points.





2. Remove the oil filter from the engine block.
3. Remove the oil pan drain plug and drain the engine oil into a suitable container.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the oil filter to the engine block. Tighten the oil filter to the oil filter manufacturers specifications listed on the oil filter box.
2. Install the drain plug to the oil pan.
- Tighten the drain plug to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
3. Remove the safety stands and lower the vehicle.
4. Fill the crankcase with oil.
