Fuel Level Sensor Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Relieve fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief Procedure.
2. Raise the vehicle. Go to Vehicle Lifting in Service Precautions.
3. Remove the modular fuel sender assembly.
4. Remove the fuel level sensor (5) from the modular fuel sender.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the fuel level sensor (5) to modular fuel sender.
2. Reinstall the fuel sender assembly.
3. Lower the vehicle.
4. Tighten the fuel fill cap.
5. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
6. Inspect for fuel leaks.
6.1. Turn the ignition switch ON for 2 seconds.
6.2. Turn the ignition switch OFF for 10 seconds.
6.3. Turn the ignition switch ON.
6.4. Check for fuel leaks.
7. Reinstall the fuel injection sight shield.
