The COAST Function

^ Press the SET switch in order to raise or lower the vehicle speed.
^ In order to increase cruise speed, perform the following steps:
1. Accelerate to a new speed.
2. Depress the SET switch.
Ensure that the PCM/VCM releases the previously set speed.
3. Release the switch.
Upon releasing the switch, a new speed is set.

^ Increasing speed may also be more easily set with the On-OFF-R/A switch as described above.
^ In order to decrease cruise speed, perform the following steps:
1. Depress the SET switch in order to disengage the cruise control system. This will allow the throttle to return to the idle position.
2. When the vehicle has slowed to the desired lowered cruise speed, release the switch in order to cause the system to cruise at the new speed.
