Installation Procedure






1. Install the Inflatable Restraint Sensing and Diagnostic (SDM) module (2) to the vehicle (3).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the SDM mounting fasteners (1).

Tighten
Tighten fasteners to 12 N.m (106 lb in).

3. Install the SDM harness connector to the SDM.
4. Install the Connector Position Assurance (CPA) to the SDM harness connector.
5. Position the carpet to cover the Inflatable Restraint Sensing and Diagnostic Module (SDM).

Important: Install the left body side trim panel for extended cab pickup.

6. Install the left kick panel.
7. Install the floor console, if equipped.
8. Install the left carpet retaining sill trim molding.
9. Install driver seat belt to floor.
10. Install the driver seat.
11. Enable the SIR system.
