EGR Valve: Service and Repair





EGR Valve Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the EGR valve electrical connector.
2. Remove both retaining bolts (3).
3. Remove the EGR valve (2).
4. Clean the remains of EGR valve gasket (4) from intake manifold (1).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the EGR valve gasket (4).
2. Install the EGR valve (2).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Install both retaining bolts (3).

Tighten
Tighten the EGR bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

4. Install the EGR valve electrical connector.
