Verify Operation

Use the following procedures as a system test in order to verify the operation of the cruise control system after repairs:
1. Set the park brake.
2. Start the engine.
3. Move the cruise switch to the OFF position.
4. Move the cruise switch to the ON position.
5. Wait at least 3 seconds.
6. Fully depress and hold the brake pedal.
7. Press the cruise SET switch in and hold the switch.
8. Hold the cruise slider switch in the R/A position. Wait 10 seconds.
9. Release the brake pedal while still holding the R/A and the SET switches.
10. The engine RPM should increase momentarily, and then the engine RPM should return to normal.
