Air Flow Meter/Sensor: Service and Repair





REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor electrical connector.
3. Loosen both clamps on the MAF sensor (1).
4. Remove the air inlet duct from the MAF sensor (1).
5. Remove the MAF sensor from air filter housing (1).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Carefully install MAF sensor (1) to air inlet grommet.
2. Attach the MAF sensor (1) to air inlet duct and install the air inlet duct.
3. Tighten the MAF sensor clamps.
4. Connect the MAF sensor electrical connector.

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.

5. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
