Ignition Coil: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disconnect the spark plug wires from the coil(s).
2. Remove the screws securing the coil(s) assembly to the ignition control module.
3. Remove the coil from the ignition control module.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Carefully reinstall the ignition coil(s) on the ignition control module.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Reinstall the attaching screws.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 4-5 N.m (40 lb in).

3. Reconnect the spark plug wires.
