Revised Armrest Replacement (YC6) Procedure

Models:
2000 Chevrolet and GMC M/L Models with RPO YC6
Built After September 1,1999

This bulletin is being issued to update the Armrest Replacement Procedure (YC6) in the Seats subsection of the 2000 M/L Service Manual.

Removal Procedure

Important:
The following procedure represents a mid-year change. Before beginning this procedure, verify which armrest is involved.





1. Rotate the armrest to the down position.





2. Place a pair of snap-ring pliers between the seat and the armrest. Make sure that the snap-ring pliers go between the arms of the snap plate.

3. With the armrest plate arms open, pull the armrest straight back off the seat post.

Installation Procedure





With the armrest rotated at approximately 45 degrees, press the armrest onto the seat post until the snap plate arms fully engage into the groove of the seat post.
