Delphi(R)-Harrison and Denso A/C Compressor Usage
Models:
2000-2001 Chevrolet and GMC C/K Pickup Models With 4.8 L, 5.3 L or 6.0 L Gen III Gas Engine (VINs V, T, U - RPOs LR4, LM7, LQ4)
Two different A/C compressors are used in the
2000-2001 pickup models identified above.
^ Vehicles built at the Oshawa assembly plant (VIN plant code 1) after February 8, 2000 will use the Denso A/C compressor (type 10S17).
^ Vehicles built at the Ft. Wayne (VIN plant code Z) and Pontiac East (VIN plant code E) assembly plant will use the Delphi(R)- Harrison A/C compressor (type HU6).
Service Information
The two A/C compressors are not interchangeable. Be sure to have the correct part number when ordering replacement units.
