Transmission Position Sensor/Switch: Service and Repair

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the front floor console.
2. Disconnect the park neutral position switch electrical connector (2).





3. Remove the park neutral position switch bolts.
4. Remove the park neutral position switch from the transmission control.


Installation Procedure





1. Ensure that the transmission control is still in the NEUTRAL position.
2. Install the tang on the park neutral position switch, into the slot on the transmission control.
3. Adjust the park neutral switch.





4. Connect the park neutral position switch electrical connector (2).
5. Install the front floor console.
