Removal Procedure





1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Disconnect the speed sensor electrical connector.





3. Remove the speed sensor bolt.
4. Remove the vehicle speed sensor.
5. Remove the speedometer driven gear, if necessary.


Installation Procedure





1. Install the speedometer driven gear, it necessary.
2. Install the vehicle speed sensor.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the speed sensor bolt.
^ Tighten the speed sensor bolt to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).





4. Connect the speed sensor electrical connector.
5. Lower the vehicle.
