Console Replacement (Chevrolet)

Removal Procedure




1. Open the console compartment.
2. Refer to Console Trim Plate Replacement in order to remove one of the following components:

* The console trim plate - automatic transmission
Disconnect the shift indicator connector.
* The boot - manual transmission

3. Remove the screw cover (7).
4. Remove the screws (6).
5. Remove the console (2).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the console (2).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the screws (6).

Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

3. Install the screw cover (7).
4. Refer to Console Trim Plate Replacement in order to install one of the following components:

* The console trim plate - automatic transmission
* The boot - manual transmission

5. Close the console compartment.
