Electronic Column Lock Module - Assemble

Assembly Procedure





1. Install the electric column lock (2) to the steering column tilt head assembly.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Caution and Notices.

2. Install the 2 pan head tapping screws (1).
- Tighten the 2 pan head tapping screws to 7 Nm (62 inch lbs.).





3. Slide the pivot and pulse switch assembly into the electric column lock until the clips engage.
4. Connect the electric lock module connector.





5. Route the wire harness assembly along the steering column jacket assembly.
6. Connect the connector, if necessary.





7. Install the wire harness straps (2) to the steering column tilt head assembly (1).





8. Pop the wire harness assembly (1) into the wire harness strap (2).
9. Install the steering column tilt head assembly. Refer to Steering Column Tilt Head Housing - Assemble - Off Vehicle (Non-Telescoping Column).
