Engine Cover Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the instrument panel lower extension. Refer to Instrument Panel Extension Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
2. Remove the passenger seat from the vehicle in the 7.4 L and the 6.5 L diesel engines. Refer toFront Seat Replacement - Bucket (Front Seat Replacement - Bucket) in Seats.




3. Release the engine cover retaining straps.




4. Remove the engine cover from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure






Important: Ensure that the engine cover sealing strip is properly seated between the engine cover and the vehicle.


1. Install the engine cover to the vehicle.




2. Install the engine cover retaining straps.
3. Install the passenger seat to the vehicle in 7.4 L and the 6.5 L Diesel engines. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket (Front Seat Replacement - Bucket) in Seats.
4. Install the instrument panel lower extension. Refer toInstrument Panel Extension Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges, and Console.
