Battery Limiter Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.




1. Disconnect the battery negative cable.
2. Remove the ground strap from the inner fender well.




3. Remove the retaining bolts from the fender panel.
4. Remove the battery limiter from the fender panel.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the battery limiter to the fender panel.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the retaining bolts to the fender panel.

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

3. Install the ground strap to the inner fender wall.

Tighten
Tighten the ground strap bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).




4. Connect the battery negative cable.

Tighten
Tighten the cable to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
