Generator Brace Replacement - Auxiliary

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the serpentine belt from the engine.
2. Remove the mounting bolts from the brace.
3. Remove the brace from the vehicle.
4. Remove the idler pulley if necessary.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the idler pulley if necessary.
2. Install the brace to the vehicle.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the mounting bolts to the brace.

Tighten
Tighten the auxiliary generator brace mounting bolts to:
- The long bolts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).
- The short bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

4. Install the serpentine belt to the engine.
