Coat Hook Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. For the Monte Carlo, use a small, flat-bladed tool and pry the square retainer out.
Remove the retainer from the coat hook.
2. Pull out on the coat hook to remove the hook from the headliner.




3. For the Impala, remove the retaining screw (1).
4. Remove the coat hook from the headliner.

Installation Procedure




1. For Monte Carlo, position the coat hook into the headliner.
2. Install the push-in retainer pressing into place until flush with the coat hook.





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. For the Impala, install the retaining screw (1).

Tighten the screw to 2 Nm (18 lb in).
