Front Fender Replacement



Front Fender Replacement

Removal Procedure


Notice: When removing body panels, apply tape to corners of panel and adjacent surfaces to help prevent paint damage.

1. Remove the hood. Refer to Hood Replacement (Service and Repair) .
2. Remove the hood hinge. Refer to Hood Hinge Replacement (Service and Repair)
3. Remove the front fender liner. Refer to Front Fender Liner Replacement (Service and Repair)
4. Remove the front fender sound insulator. Refer to Front Fender Insulator Replacement (Front Fender Insulator Replacement) .
5. Remove the rocker finish panel. Refer to Rocker Panel Molding Replacement ()
6. Remove the nuts from the front bumper fascia at the fender. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement (Front Bumper Fascia Replacement) .




7. Remove the bolts from the fender at the door hinge pillar.




8. Remove the bolts from the fender at the rocker panel.




9. Remove the bolts from the fender at the front compartment side rail.




10. Remove the stud from the fender at the front compartment side rail.




11. Remove the bolts from the fender at the lower engine compartment side rail.
12. Remove the fender from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure

1. Install the fender from the vehicle

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.





2. Install the bolts to the fender at the front compartment side rail.

Tighten the front compartment side rail bolts to 6 N.m (53 lb in).





3. Install the stud to the fender at the front compartment side rail.

Tighten the front compartment side rail stud to 6 N.m (53 lb in).





4. Install the bolts to the fender at the rocker panel.

Tighten the rocker panel bolts to 6 N.m (53 lb in).





5. Install the bolts to the fender at the door hinge pillar.

Tighten the door hinge pillar bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).





6. Install the bolts to the fender at the lower engine compartment side rail.

Tighten the lower engine compartment bolts to 8 N.m (70 lb in).

7. Install the nuts to the front bumper fascia at the fender. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement (Front Bumper Fascia Replacement) .
8. Install the front fender sound insulator. Refer to Front Fender Insulator Replacement (Front Fender Insulator Replacement) .
9. Install the front fender liner. Refer to Front Fender Liner Replacement (Service and Repair) .
10. Install the hood hinge. Refer to Hood Hinge Replacement (Service and Repair)
11. Install the hood. Refer to Hood Replacement (Service and Repair)
12. Install the rocker finish panel. Refer to Rocker Panel Molding Replacement ()
13. Remove the protective tape.
