Refrigerant Pressure Sensor / Switch: Service and Repair

A/C REFRIGERANT PRESSURE SENSOR REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the air cleaner and duct assembly.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the pressure sensor.
3. Remove the A/C pressure sensor (1) from the evaporator line.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

IMPORTANT: Lubricate the new O-ring seal with mineral base 525 viscosity refrigerant oil.




1. Install a new O-ring seal.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the A/C pressure sensor (1) to the evaporator line.

Tighten
Tighten the A/C pressure sensor to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

3. Connect the electrical connector at the pressure sensor.
4. Install the air cleaner and duct assembly.
