Ignition Coil: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disconnect the spark plug wires. Note position that they were removed.
2. Remove the 2 screws securing ignition coil to ignition control module.
3. Remove the ignition coil.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the ignition coil.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Reinstall the 2 attaching screws.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 4-5 Nm (40 lb in).

3. Reconnect the spark plug wires.
