Battery Hold Down Retainer Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE






1. Remove the LH diagonal brace.
2. Remove the Air Cleaner Assembly.
3. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
4. Remove the washer solvent container assembly.
5. Remove the air cleaner assembly bracket bolt from the fender.
6. Remove the battery hold-down retainer bolt.
7. Remove the battery hold-down retainer.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE






1. Install the battery hold-down retainer.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the battery hold-down retainer bolt.

Tighten
Tighten the battery hold-down retainer bolt to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).

3. Install the air cleaner bracket upper bolt.

Tighten
Tighten the air cleaner bracket upper bolt to 4 N.m (35 lb in).

4. Install the washer solvent container assembly.
5. Connect the negative battery cable.
6. Install the air cleaner assembly.
7. Install the LH diagonal brace.
