Ignition Coil: Service and Repair




REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Turn OFF the ignition.
2. Remove the spark plug wires from the coil towers.
3. Remove the screws securing the coils to the ignition control module.
4. Remove the coils from the ignition control module.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the coils to the ignition control module.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Reinstall the screws.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 4-5 N.m(40 lb in).

3. Connect the spark plug wires.
