Door Module: Service and Repair




REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the door trim panel.
2. Remove the door water deflector.
3. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
4. Remove the screws securing the door lock actuator.
5. Remove the door locking system module nuts (8).
6. Remove the door locking system module bolt (6).
7. Remove the door locking system module (5) from the door.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the door locking system module (5) to the studs on the door frame.

NOTE:Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the door locking system module bolt (6).

Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

3. Install the door locking system module nuts (8).

Tighten
Tighten the nut to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

4. Install the screws securing the door lock actuator.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

5. Connect the electrical connectors.
6. Install the door water deflector.
7. Install the door trim panel.




2. Finish installing the door opening weatherstrip by pressing the weatherstrip into place in a clockwise direction around the door opening.
3. Install the body lock pillar trim panel.
4. Install the center pillar lower trim panel.
5. Install the center pillar upper trim panel.
6. Install the carpet retainer.
