24. Piston and Connecting Rod Disassemble
^ Tools Required- J 24086-C Piston Pin Remover/Installer
- J 24086-150 Fork Insert
- J 24086-900 Universal Fork
Caution: Refer to Safety Glasses Caution in Service Precautions.
1. Remove the piston rings from the pistons. Use a suitable tool in order to expand the rings.
2. Mark, separate, and organize the rings for assembly.
3. Press the piston pin from the connecting rod using the J 24086-C.
The piston pin has an interference fit into the connecting rod, and is full floating in the piston.
4. Mark, separate, and organize the parts for assembly.
