Oil Filter: Service and Repair

Removal Procedure
1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.





2. Remove the drain plug bolt for the oil pan.
3. Remove the oil filter.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the oil filter.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the drain plug bolt to the oil pan.
Tighten the drain plug bolt for the oil pan to 35 Nm (25 ft. lbs.).
3. Lower the vehicle.
4. Fill the engine with oil to the appropriate mark.

Important: The oil capacity with oil and with filter change is 3.3 liters (3.5 quarts).

5. Start the engine, and check the engine for leaks.
