Air Temperature Sensor ( Ambient / Intake ): Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

NOTE: Handle the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor carefully. A damaged IAT sensor will affect proper operation of the fuel injection system.




1. Disconnect the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor electrical connector.




2. Pull gently but firmly on the IAT sensor in order to remove the sensor from the rubber grommet in the lower air cleaner assembly.
3. Remove the IAT sensor from the lower air cleaner assembly.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the IAT sensor to the lower air cleaner assembly.
2. Push the IAT sensor firmly into the rubber grommet in the lower air cleaner assembly until seated.




3. Connect the IAT sensor electrical connector.
