Battery Tray Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the negative (-) battery cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
2. Remove the positive (+) battery cable from the positive (+) battery terminal.
3. Remove the 1 bolt and the battery hold down bracket (4) from the battery tray.
4. Remove the battery from the vehicle.
5. Remove the 3 bolts from the battery tray.
6. Remove the battery tray from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the battery tray into the vehicle.
2. Install the 3 bolts.
3. Install the battery into the vehicle.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

4. Install the battery hold down bracket (4) and the 1 bolt to the battery tray.

Tighten
Tighten the battery hold down bracket nuts to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

5. Install the positive (+) battery cable to the positive (+) battery terminal.

Tighten
Tighten the positive (+) battery cable terminal to 5.5 N.m (48.68 lb in).

6. Install the negative (-) battery cable-to-the negative (-) battery terminal.

Tighten
Tighten the negative (-) battery cable terminal to 5.5 N.m (48.68 lb in).
