Body Control Module: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Refer to battery disconnect caution in service precautions.




1. Disconnect the negative battery cable
2. Remove the instrument panel (IP) insulator.




3. Unsnap the body control module (BCM) (3) from the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) duct (1).
4. Disconnect the harness electrical connectors (2) from the BCM (3).




5. Disconnect the IP harness extension from the BCM.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Connect the IP harness extension to the BCM.




2. Connect the harness electrical connectors (2) to the BCM.
3. Align the BCM to the duct.
4. Snap the BCM (3) to the HVAC duct (1).
5. Install the I/P insulator.




6. Connect the negative battery cable.
7. Perform the programming procedure. Refer to BCM Programming/RPO Configuration. Programming and Relearning
