3X Crank Sensor
The scan tool displays
1,200-10,000 RPM. This signal is calculated from the 18X pulses and is fed to the Powertrain Control Module
(PCM) by the
ignition control module. This is used by the PCM to calculate RPM at engine speeds above
1,200 RPM and to initiates injector pulses.
