Horn Switch Replacement - On Vehicle (Chevrolet)

Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to SIR Caution in Service Precautions.





1. Remove the inflatable restraint steering wheel module (4).
2. Remove the screw (3) from the ground lead.
3. Disconnect the power lead (8) by pulling straight out.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the horn switch (2) to the inflatable restraint steering wheel module (4).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the screw (3) to the ground lead.
- Tighten the screw to 1.9 Nm (17 inch lbs.).
3. Connect the power lead (8) by pushing straight into the outlet.
