Drum Brake Hardware Replacement

Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to Rear Brake Shoe Spring Caution in Service Precautions.

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly.
3. Remove the brake drum.
4. Remove the brake shoes.





5. Replace the necessary drum brake hardware.

Installation Procedure
1. Install the brake shoes with the new drum brake hardware.
2. Adjust the drum brakes.
3. Install the brake drum.
4. Adjust the park brake system.





5. Install the tire and wheel assembly.
6. Lower the vehicle.
