Hinge Replacement - Rear Compartment Lid

Removal Procedure




1. Open and support the rear compartment lid.
2. Mark the location of the hinge to aid in installation.
3. Remove the bolts attaching the hinge to the body.
4. Remove the bolts attaching the hinge to the lid.
5. Remove the hinge.

Installation Procedure






Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

1. Install the bolts attaching the hinge to the lid.

Tighten the rear compartment hinge to lid bolts to 31 N.m (23 lb ft).

2. Install the bolts attaching the hinge to the body.

Tighten the rear compartment hinge to body bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

3. Remove support and lower lid.
