Latch Replacement - Rear Compartment Lid

Removal Procedure




1. Open the rear compartment.
2. Remove the rear center carpet panel.
3. Mark the location of the latch to aid in installation.
4. Remove the bolts attaching the latch to the latch bracket.
5. Remove the latch.

Installation Procedure






Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

1. Install the bolts attaching the latch to the latch bracket.

Tighten the rear compartment lid latch bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

2. Route the manual release cable down to the rear center floor stowage compartment.
3. Install the rear center carpet panel.
