Weatherstrip Replacement - Folding Top (Rear Side Rail)

Removal Procedure




1. Position the #1 bow and the #5 bow up.




2. Remove the push-in retainers from the bottom of the rear side rail weatherstrip.
3. Remove the weatherstrip.
4. Clean the adhesive from the mounting surface using 3M(TM) P/N 8984 or equivalent.

Installation Procedure




1. Apply a bead of sealer GM P/N 12345739 (Canadian P/N 10953472), to the upper and lower corners of the weatherstrip retainer.




2. Remove the protective film from the adhesive on the back of the weatherstrip.
3. Install the weatherstrip to the rear side rail retainer.
4. Install the rear weatherstrip into the end of the center rail side weatherstrip.
5. Install the push-in retainer to the bottom of the weatherstrip.
6. Reposition the folding top to the original position.
