Weatherstrip Retainer Replacement - Folding Top (Rear Side Rail)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the rear side rail weatherstrip.




2. Remove the screws attaching the retainer to the side rail weatherstrip.
3. Remove the retainer.

Installation Procedure




1. Apply sealer, GM P/N 12345739 (Canadian P/N 10953472), or equivalent to the upper corner of the roof side rail and to the rear of the main control link (2).




2. Position the retainer to the rear side rail.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the screws attaching the retainer to the rear side rail.

Tighten the screws to 4 N.m (35 lb in).




4. Apply a bead of sealer, GM P/N 12345739 (Canadian P/N 10953472), or equivalent to the upper and the lower corners of the side rail retainer.
5. Install the rear side rail weatherstrip.
6. Reposition the folding top to the original position.
