Turn Signal Cancel Cam and Bearing Thrust Washer - Disassemble - Off Vehicle

- Tools Required
- J 23653-SIR Steering Column Lock Plate Compressor
- J 42137 Cam Orientation Plate Adapter

Caution: Refer to SIR Caution in Service Precautions.





1. Disable the inflatable restraint steering wheel module.

Important: Let the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil hang freely after removal.

2. Remove the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil.
3. Remove the bearing retainer using J 23653-SIR and J 42137.
4. Remove J 23653-SIR and J 42137.
5. Discard the bearing retainer.





6. Remove the following parts from the steering shaft assembly:
6.1. The cam orientation plate (4)
6.2. The turn signal cancel cam assembly (3)
6.3. The upper bearing spring (2)
6.4. The thrust washer (1)
