Valve Rocker Arm and Push Rod Replacement

Tools Required
- J36660-A Torque Angle Meter

Removal Procedure
1. Remove the valve rocker arm cover.





2. Remove the rocker arm bolts.
3. Remove the valve rocker arms and the pushrods.

Installation Procedure
1. Coat the ends of the push rods using prelude GM P/N 1052365 or the equivalent.

Important: The intake valve push rods measure 144 mm (5.75 inch) in length, (yellow).





2. Install the push rods in their original location. The exhaust valve push rods measure 152.5 mm (6.0 inch) in length, (green).
3. Coat the rocker arm friction surfaces using prelube GM P/N 1052365 or the equivalent.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.





4. Install the valve rocker arm bolts. See TSB 02-06-01-034
Tighten the bolts to 14 Nm (124 in. lbs.). Use the J36660-A to rotate the bolts an additional 30 degrees.
5. Install the valve rocker arm cover.
