Exhaust Crossover Pipe: Service and Repair

Exhaust Crossover Pipe Replacement (3.4L)

Removal Procedure
1. Remove the air cleaner intake duct.
2. If equipped remove the AIR pipe.
3. Remove the thermostat by-pass pipe.





4. Remove the exhaust crossover heat shield bolts.
5. Remove the exhaust crossover heat shield.





6. Remove the exhaust crossover pipe nuts.
7. Remove the exhaust crossover pipe.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the exhaust crossover pipe.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the exhaust crossover pipe nuts.
Tighten the nuts to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).





3. Install the exhaust crossover heat shield.
4. Install the exhaust crossover heat shield bolts.
Tighten the bolts to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
5. Install the thermostat by-pass pipe.
6. If equipped install the AIR pipe.
7. Install the air cleaner intake duct.
