Ignition Coil: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Note the position of the spark plug wires for the installation and disconnect the spark plug wires from the ignition coils.




2. Remove the 2 screws (1) securing the ignition coil (2) to the ignition control module (3).
3. Remove the ignition coil (2).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the ignition coil (2).
2. Install the ignition coil screws (1).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 4.5 N.m (40 lb in).




3. Connect the spark plug wires as noted during the removal.
